People don’t like to work under oppressive, expl People don’t like to work under oppressive, exploitative, and alienating conditions, so we stay in the lab working on our recipe for worker-owned production of value.Work is the spontaneous life activity of people, so when the products of our work are alienated from us, our very life activity becomes distant, and alien to us. It creates the contradictory experience that life begins when we stop working.Void of oppression and exploitation, work can be experienced as the highest and most fulfilling expression of life. But that’s that’s not possible for the majority of people living under modern imperialism.Until then, working to obliterate oppressive conditions is where it’s at. It’s not easy, but is anything worth doing in life easy? Is it more dangerous to try, or not to try? Dare to co-op, Dare to Win.

As the year come to an end wanted to post about th As the year come to an end wanted to post about the amazing opportunity WYC had which was participating in the Mondagrón City Challenge. WYC was one of the 18 finalist and were invited to go to Mondragón, Spain to learn more about the culture and history behind cooperative business where it all started. Teams from all over the world and many from Spain participated. It was a week full of adventure, learning, and connections. The week ended with presentations from the top 3 team in each category with the winning teams decided right after. Here are some pictures from one of the WYC representatives @leslie_mateo If you have any questions or want to learn more about the experience feel free to reach out. #mondragoncitychallenge
Hydroponics are amazing, but having LAND would mak Hydroponics are amazing, but having LAND would make feeding our people so much easier! The original and often-repeated displacement of people from their land is at the basis of the hunger problem. They sell us technology "solutions" that obfuscate the fact that hunger can never be eliminated unless we reclaim the land and collectivize the means of food production. Until then, food will be produced largely for profit, with human nutrition being a distant second. The lesson is that while there is no technological answer to a social problem, we can engage with technology without fetishizing it or losing sight of the bigger picture. Hydroponics indicates that drastic transformation is required when we are so far from the land itself and even more distant from land collectivization. Dare to Co-op, Dare to Win.

Solidarity from the youth to the front line of the Solidarity from the youth to the front line of the font line workers still on strike at Saint Vincent hospital. We call on the community and we have been called to support the struggle of then nurses to protect patients, themselves, and the community from unsafe work conditions. As a political practice, Mutual Aid is strongest when focused on those who are actively struggling against, not just surviving, capitalism. This is because the only sustainable way to survive is to successful struggle against and overcome capitalism by building a world of non-exploitative, cooperative social relations. Mutual aid becomes a factor in (r)evolution when those who make the sacrifices and take the risks of overt struggle are aided in the fullest sense of the word. The youth rode out on their bikes to offer cold water to the nurses, but the primary objectives included learning from the nurses why they are strike and how they could be better supported. Thank you to the nurses who told us about the struggle and why it is all worth it! We will see you again soon!!

Jahir and Joel partnered with @worcester_dyo to deliver free lessons to dozens of kids all summer long. Self-Defense is more than just a physical practice. It’s also about things like empowerment, discipline, and mental strength. Self-Defense skills are crucial for our survival and our survival is crucial to our liberation! We also need to take care of ourselves to be there for others. It’s a discipline, and it’s a Cooperative! #Solidarity #solidarityeconomy #youthcoop #workerowned
